Bridge Industrial has the largest undeveloped tract of land in Doral under contract and plans an industrial park there.
Bridge Industrial Acquisition, an affiliate of Chicago-based Bridge Industrial, formerly called Bridge Development Partners, filed a municipal pre-application with Miami-Dade County for the 175.2-acre site at the southwest corner of Northwest 107th Avenue and Northwest 41st Street. It has it under contract from longtime owners Claudia Lemon Cook and Charles B. Lemon in Winter Park.
Bridge Industrial wants to rezone the property in order to build up to 3.5 million square feet of industrial. The preliminary site plan by Boca Raton-based RLC Architects shows seven warehouses for a combined 3.1 million square feet, plus 2,027 parking spaces. The warehouses would range from 172,800 to 1.18 million square feet.
The project would be called Bridge Point Doral Distribution Center. Officials with Bridge Industrial declined comment. The company is one of the largest industrial developers in South Florida. It’s represented in the application by Miami attorney Benjamin Hedrick.
In addition to working with county officials on platting and traffic issues for the site, the developer will need rezoning approval from Doral officials.
