Carisam-Samuel Meisel, a retailer of duty-free goods, bought out the landlord of its Doral warehouse for $22 million.
The price equated to $158 per square foot.
Free Trade Zoning Holdings LLC, managed by Harold M. Rifas in South Miami, sold the 139,380-square-foot industrial building at 10900 N.W. 27th St. to the Baltimore-based company. Bank of America provided a $10.6 million mortgage to the buyer.
The building last traded for $7.7 million in 2001. It was built on the 6.5-acre site between 1994 and 1995.
Carisam-Samuel Meisel was already a tenant there. The company imports and distributes beverages, spirits, beer, tobacco, fragrances and gifts to cruises, cargo ships, resorts and diplomatic corps.
