More than 100 MIAMI members will attend the fifth annual MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA) Midyear Update event on Friday, May 12, at the Coral Gables Country Club.
“Miami’s commercial real estate continues to evolve in new and exciting ways,” said José María Serrano, the 2017 MIAMI Commercial president and New Miami Realty Corp. broker. “Our top market experts will provide the latest commercial trends. American Dream Miami, which would be the largest mall and theme park in North America, will deliver a special presentation and discussion.”
The $4 billion American Dream Miami — which is proposed in an unincorporated wedge of northwest Miami-Dade County, immediately north of the city of Hialeah— would total 6.2 million square feet, including 3.5 million square feet of retail, plus 2,000 hotel rooms. The tourist complex could house an indoor ski slope, water park, movie complex and more.
American Dream Miami estimates it would receive 40 million projected visitors and create 14,500 permanent jobs. If approved by the county and state, the mall could be completed by 2022. Edgar Jones, a development consultant with American Dream Miami, and Robert Gorlow, an attorney for the tourist complex, will make a presentation and facilitate a discussion at the RCA Midyear Update.
The 2017 RCA Midyear Update will also feature an All-Star Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Investment Panel and a Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Innovation Panel. These panels were provide important insights on the future of Miami multi-family, retail, office and land.
CCIM members Serrano, Sandra Goldstein of Sandra Goldstein Commercial, F. Antonio (Tony) Puente of Fairchild Partners and Rafael Romero of Continental Real Estate will lead the CCIM panel. 2017 SIOR National President Geoffrey Kasselman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Tere Blanca of Blanca Real Estate, John Dohm of Infinity Commercial Real Estate and Jose I. Juncadella of Fairchild Partners will headline the SIOR discussion.
