After a $20M buy, Hamilton Development plans an office-to-industrial conversion in the Flagler Station business park—signaling continued weakness in the suburban office market.
The Doral City Council is scheduled to review a rezoning request on Aug. 13. The company is seeking to rezone a 1.83-acre parcel at 7775–7785 N.W. 48th St. from “industrial commercial” to “industrial” zoning. The site is part of a larger 16-acre property that also includes 7705 NW 48th St.
San Francisco-based Prologis filed an administrative modification application with county officials for the 18.5-acre site at 9700 N.W. 112th Ave., in the Flagler Station business park near Doral.
Miami-based Banco do Brasil Americas provided the mortgage to Flightway Ten. It covers the five-acre site at 6175 N.W. 102nd Ave. The developer purchased the property for $3.9 million in 2014 and was approved for 60,941 square feet of warehouses and 10,689 square feet of retail.
A controversial megaproject planned outside Miami-Dade County’s Urban Development Boundary faces new opposition. In the latest move, a resident is asking the state to review commissioners’ recent approval of the UDB expansion. The vote allows for the 5.9 million-square-foot South Dade Logistics and Technology District industrial complex to be constructed in southeast Miami-Dade.
