Marc Vayn, founder and chairman of American Technologies Network (ATN) Corp., said in just two years his company has expanded its presence in Doral from a small satellite office into a 35,000-square-foot facility at 2400 N.W. 95th Ave.
And that growth hasn’t stopped. Vayn said ATN Corp. will lease another 14,000-square-foot space next year to store the night vision optics and thermal imaging devices that the company manufacturers and sells, which are used for gun scopes, binoculars, telescopes, and even goggles. The company already employs 80 people with salaries ranging from $20 to $75 an hour, and it plans to hire another 20 to 30 people over the next six months for jobs in assembly, electrical engineering, quality control, customer support, and telephone sales.
Founded in San Francisco in 1995, ATN Corp. sells optical devices to militaries and individuals via websites and stores. The company has a manufacturing facility in Sofia, Bulgaria as well as Odessa and Kyiv in Ukraine. At the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ATN Corp. temporarily closed its Ukrainian facilities and transferred the employees and families to Bulgaria. ATN Corp. has also given night scopes and other thermal imaging devices to the Ukrainian military.
Vayn moved to Miami-Dade four years ago. After initially working remotely, he said he grew to appreciate the business-friendly environment in Florida. In January, ATN Corp. closed down its facility in San Francisco and moved its company headquarters to Doral.
