VSRE Brings 1.7MSF South Florida Logistics Center To Full Occupancy

VS Real Estate (VSRE), one of South Florida’s leading full-service commercial real estate services firms, announced it has successfully fully leased the 1.7 million-square-foot South Florida Logistics Center (SFLC) business park.

In a series of recent lease transactions totaling more than 350,000 square feet of industrial space, VSRE has ensured the well-located logistics park remains at 100 percent full occupancy for the remainder of the year.

One of the most notable transactions is a 116,000 square-foot, new-to-market lease deal inked at SFLC Building 6 with MARVAL, a premier Chilean-based Maritime Transport and Logistic Services provider. While VSRE represented the landlord, an entity of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, in the transaction, David Spillers of Avison Young represented the tenant.

“Heading into 2023, more than 25 percent of the South Florida Logistics Center’s tenant portfolio was up for renewal,” said Carlos Velasquez, Managing Principal of VSRE. “Our marketing and leasing strategies have not only stabilized the asset but also enabled us to secure top-tier tenants and command market-leading rents. While we anticipate some space availabilities in early 2024, we are confident in sustaining our leasing momentum thanks to the park’s prime location combined with our proven track record.”

Located adjacent to the Miami International Airport with unparalleled access to South Florida’s busiest air and seaports, the South Florida Logistics Center is a unique 200-acre logistics complex that serves as a true intermodal transfer point for goods moving through South Florida by all modes of transportation including railway, highway, ocean, and air. The park consists of nine industrial buildings totaling 1.7 million square feet and offers easy access to South Florida’s major transportation arteries including SR 826, SR 836, and 112.
