Winholt Equipment Group is set to open a new Florida facility in July.
The Doral location will become the hot-holding and warming equipment specialist’s fourth national manufacturing facility in the country, adding to existing locations in Pennsylvania, Texas and California.
The company said the expansion adds significant manufacturing and supply chain capacity to the Southeast. With the investment in automated capital equipment, it also expects it to boost its US manufacturing efficiencies and shorten lead times to support the area.
“I look forward to the opening of our new Florida facility that will allow us to support our customers’ growth and further strengthen our foothold in the Southeast,” said Dominick Scarfogliero, Winholt president and CEO.
The company has also announced a series of appointments as it prepares to launch the facility. Alex Ramos has joined as territory sales manager in Florida and will oversee the sales strategy for the state. The former Chefs’ Warehouse and Unox man will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing winning strategies for both our foodservice and retail equipment.
Elsewhere, Dawn Carlson has taken over as product manager, adding to Winholt’s marketing team. In her new position she will be responsible for developing product line strategies, including pricing, position, rationalization, and new product development. She brings valuable experience and expertise from her time at Star Holding Group, a Middleby company.
Finally,Priscilla Rendon has joined the business as a project estimator, working out of its Texas location. She has over four years of experience in commercial project estimation in various fields of the construction industry, such as commercial flooring, traffic control, civil work, and, most recently, commercial retail and shell work.
